Rev. Everette Ray Little age 71, of Crumpler, died on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Rev. Little was born on August 15, 1946 in Ashe County, NC to Paul and Wilma Howell Little. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Ronnie Little. Everette served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Rev. Little was of strong faith, ordained into the ministry in 1977 serving at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fleetwood and Boone Fork Baptist Church in Blowing Rock. He retired from Skyline Telephone after 32 years of dedicated service. Everette gave generously to the American Red Cross Association and took pride in that he was only one pint shy of donating 100. Farming was a big part of Everette's life, he loved his tractors, cowboy boots and cowboy hats.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. John Elledge and Rev. Darrell Poole. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with military rites.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Rev. Little is survived by: his wife, Dianne Poe Little, two sons, Travis Creston and Shane Little and wife Marcy, all of Crumpler, grandson, Toryn Little and wife Chelsea of Boone, granddaughter, Kahryn Elizabeth Little of Crumpler; also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
