Mr. Ricky Boyd Auten, age 62, of Fleetwood, NC died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his home. Mr. Auten was born on March 28, 1951 in Mecklenburg County, NC to James Boyd Auten and Jeannie Rose Ballard Auten. Mr. Auten was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Auten worked for Samaritan's Purse for 28 years. He was a pilot, drove trucks, and was a videographer. He enjoyed the outdoors, sports, cars, Nascar, ASU Football and most of all he loved the snow.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Auten is survived by: his wife, Martha Kay Rikard Auten; one son, Zachary Boyd Auten of Foscoe; one sister, Kathy George of Gastonia.
