Robert Rice

Robert McConnell Rice age 56 of Jefferson, NC died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at his home.
Mr. Rice was born on March 8, 1947 in Jefferson, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen McConnell Rice.
Mr. Rice attended and graduated from UNC Greensboro, earning a Masters Degree in Art. He served as an Instructor at Wilkes Community College, teaching Art History, and History of Film. He loved his family, his Ashe County Heritage, and his native home place in Jefferson.
An Irish Wake will be held Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the home, 433 McConnell Street, Jefferson, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 5, 2004 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Robert Rice College Fund, c/o Ding Denlinger, 433 McConnell Street, Jefferson, NC 28640.

Adriel Reed of Asheville, NC

He was also survived by many friends from near and far.
