Roberteen (Perry) Nichols

Roberteen Perry Nichols age 81 of Lansing passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Nichols was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on Friday, September 8th, 1939 to the late Floyd “Yank” and Hattie Elizabeth Baldwin Perry.  In addition to her parents Roberteen was also preceded in death by her husband, William Nichols along with five of her brothers and nine sisters.

Mrs. Nichols loved honey buns, working on word searches and reading books.  Roberteen was a member of New Home Baptist Church and especially loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Nichols is survived by two daughters, Melinda Lyalls and husband David and Monica Nichols both of Lansing, one son, William Nichols and wife Robin of West Jefferson, two brothers, Billy Joe Perry and wife Sally of Lansing and J.C. Perry of Maryland.  Nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Preacher Josh Jones.  Burial will follow in the Perry-Shepherd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.
