Roger Dale Lewis

Roger Dale Lewis better known as Jed, age 76 of West Jefferson, died Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Lewis was born October 25, 1945 in Ashe County to the late Eugene and Virginia Lewis. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Lewis.  He enjoyed fishing, car racing and turkey hunting.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tim Roten.  Burial will follow in the Lewis Kemp Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm prior to the service.

Mr.  Lewis is survived by one son, Bryan Lewis and wife Beverly of West Jefferson, daughters, Karen White of Alexander County and Robin Rowe of Florida, brother, Danny Lewis of West Jefferson, sisters, Racine Eldreth and Mary Lewis both of West Jefferson and Christine Stephens of Creston and grandchild, Kinsey Lewis. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
