Roy Lee Barr

Roy Lee Barr age 80 of Lansing passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Watauga Medical Center. Mr. Barr was born on Sunday, July 5, 1942 in Ashe County to the late Lee and Faye Dolinger Barr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Barr Whittington. Roy retired from United Chemi-Con after 41 years.

Mr. Barr is survived by: his wife, Kathryn Shepherd Barr, three daughters, Angie Barr Stansberry and husband Eddie of Lansing, Amy Hall and husband Tracey of Laurel Springs, and Debra Greer of Jefferson, four grandchildren, Megan Kinder, Jacob Greer, Hanna Hall and Haley Hall, one great-grandchild, Emory Kate Cochran; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Elder Lundy Finley.
