Russell DeBoard

Russell Edmond DeBoard, 80, of Grassy Creek, died Sunday morning at the NC Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Mr. DeBoard was born in Grassy Creek on September 10, 1922 to Curtis and Ruth Spencer DeBoard. Mr. DeBoard enjoyed a successful career in trucking.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Russell Sheets and Rev. Tommy McClure at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the services. Burial will follow at a later date at the Baptist Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mr. DeBoard is survived by his wife: Mrs. Ruby Sutherland DeBoard of the Ashe Living Center; two sons: Rondale DeBoard of Phoenix, AZ and Rick DeBoard of Dillsburg, PA; two daughters: Reva Spangler of Dillsburg, PA and Rita White of Cumberland, PA; one brother: Charles Lacy DeBoard of Burlington, NC; two sisters: Madeline Conley and Reba Fuller both of New Cumberland, PA. Twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren also survive.
