Russell Shook, Jr.

Raymond Russell Shook Jr., age 62 of West Jefferson, died Tuesday, March10, 2020 in Caldwell County.  Mr. Shook was born July 30, 1957 in Watauga County to Raymond Russell Shook Sr. and Mary Hollars Shook.  He was preceded in death by his father, grandson, Brayden Lyalls, brother-in-law, Randy Swift and step-father, Jerry Triplett.  He loved spending time outdoors, watching NASCAR, going to dirt track races, traveling and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bradley Swift and Rev. Paul Coffey.  Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Saturday, March 14th at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Shook is survived by, his wife, Darlene Jones Shook, daughters, Carrie Jane Isaacs of Lenoir and Jessica Lawrence of West Jefferson, son, Marshal Lawrence of Warrensville, his mother, Mary Triplett of Gafney, SC, sister, Carol Swift of Boone, grandchildren, Caleb Isaacs, Alana Isaacs, Quinton Earp, Dakota Hash and Hunter Harper. 1 niece and 1 nephew also survive.

He will forever be with his best friend and pet, Gracie.
