Ruth Virginia Colvard, age 90 of Laurel Springs died Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Colvard was born October 21, 1912 in Ashe county to the late Calvin and Ennis Eldreth. Her husband, Walter Colvard, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 28th at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Craford will officiate. Burial will follow in the Senter Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00 AM Friday prior to the service.
Mrs. Colvard is survived by:
One brother: Jack Eldreth of Jefferson, NC
Six sisters: George Koontz and Marie Pennington both of Jefferson, NC
Mabel Miller of Sparta, NC, Maxie Sheets of Laurel Springs, NC,
Winola Moore of MD and Bobbie Fender of SC.
A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
