Ruth (Severt) Royall

Ruth Severt Royall, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories.  Mrs. Royall was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on February 28, 1933 to the late Albert Leonard and Alma May Dempsey Severt.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Royall as well as all of her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Royall is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Royall and Terri Miller both of West Jefferson and one son, James Anthony Royall of Gastonia. Also surviving are five grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ruth's memory will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. While her physical presence may be missed, her love and spirit will continue to resonate in the lives she has touched.
