Salyer Grover

Mr. Grover Cleveland Salyer, age 76 of Port Deposit Maryland and Rockledge Florida died Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at the VA Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 26, 2003 2:00 p.m. at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson, NC with Rev. Keith Casey officiating. Interment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 Sunday before services at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Salyer was born in Salyersville, KY, December 9, 1923 to Lacey and Amanda Salyer. He was retired form the Edgewood facility at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds and a Veteran of WWII serving in both the Navy and Army.

Two daughters ? Brenda Chapman of Elkton, MD

Carolyn Tennis of Port Deposit, MD

One stepdaughter- Judy Bryant of Jefferson, NC

Nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
