Sammy Gene Mullis

Mr. Sammy Gene Mullis, age 70 of Jefferson died on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home. Mr. Mullis was born on February 17, 1947 in Jefferson, NC to the late Gordon and Florence Lambert Mullis. Mr. Mullis served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He worked as a carpenter for 25 years and was a good craftsman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and brother. Mr. Mullis was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Mullis is survived by: Wife, Christina Gilley Mullis, Daughter, Angela Mullis of Jefferson, Brother, Harold Mullis of Jefferson, Grandson, Harley Waln, Granddaughter, Samantha Mullis; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
