Sarah Ellen (Thompson) Lenz

Sarah Ellen Thompson Lenz, better known as Sally, age 85 of West Jefferson, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.  Mrs. Lenz was born October 28, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Howard Leslie Thompson and Alma Roberta Bell Thompson.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Howard Thompson Jr.

Mrs. Lenz was active in Oakland Presbyterian Church and also served on the board.  She was a loving wife and selfless mother who loved taking her children to practice and attending their events. Her pets, Mitzi, Holly and Simba were very important to her. Sally was a Girl Scout leader for many years.  She loved making stained glass crafts, reading, flowers and nature.

Services will be private.
