Sarah Rash

Sarah Rash, age 38 of West Jefferson, passed away on Saturday, February 17, at her home. Sarah was born on October 19, 1985 in Dover, Delaware to Billy Joe Childress and Sarah Carico Blevins.  She was preceded in death by her step-father Ricky Lee Blevins, sister, Tammy Lynn Childress as well as all of her grandparents.  James and Sarah also experienced the profound loss of seven miscarriages while hoping to welcome children into their lives.

Sarah had a profound love for the simple joys that brought laughter and warmth to those around her. Among her greatest pass times was her love for playing UNO, where she would immerse herself in the excitement of every game. Her evenings were often spent indulging in her favorite television series, "Supernatural" and "Sons of Anarchy”.

A culinary enthusiast at heart, Sarah also found joy and creativity in the kitchen, where her passion for cooking was not only a reflection of her talent but also a testament to her nurturing soul, as she poured love into every meal she prepared.

Another one of Sarah's most cherished delights was anything adorned with fairies. Whether it was delicate trinkets or whimsical decorations, she found enchantment in the world of fairies, where magic and wonder abounded.

Mrs. Rash is survived by her husband, James Rash, her mother, Sarah Blevins of West Jefferson, two brothers, Billy Joe Childress III and Jason Rick Blevins both of West Jefferson, two sisters, Dreama Rene Blevins of Damascus, VA and Audrey Marie Blevins of West Jefferson, uncle, Danny Ray Carico of Sparta and two nieces, Kristy and Malinda.  Also surviving are her “adopted children” Hannah and Kenneth.

Services are incomplete at this time.

Flowers will be appreciated.  The family will be meeting at 125 Mountain Forest Dr., Lot # 6 in West Jefferson.
