Scott Boykin Privette

Scott Boykin Privette, age 61 of Conover, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was born on October 14, 1962, in Raleigh, NC, to Herbert Glenn Privette and Helen Jean Boykin Privette. Scott is preceded in death by his beloved mother.

It seems almost an understatement to say that Scott left an incredible legacy. From the waiter at the restaurant to his coworkers, friends, and family, Scott truly embodied the hands and feet of Christ. With his ever-present smile, gentle spirit, and kind heart, he exemplified the love of Christ in every interaction. Scott's hobbies included listening to a wide range of music genres—always knowing every lyric—playing the drums and studying the Bible. Yet, these facets of his life represent only a fraction of Scott's profound influence and the enduring legacy he leaves in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, India Jordan Privette; his daughter, Lauren Privette Holey (Joshua) of Troutman, and son, Jordan Privette of Denver; his father, Herbert Glenn Privette (Lois Jean) of Lewisville; two brothers, Eric Privette (Robin) of Jefferson and Glenn Privette (Jennifer) of Morganton.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Aaron Holey, Andrew Holey, Annalise Holey, and Adam Holey, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Kevin Brown, Pastor Nathan Caparolie and Speaker Scott Stewart.  Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will recieve friends from 10:15-11:00am prior to the service.
