Sebert Miller

Mr. Sebert Dean Miller age 83 of Millers Creek, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Miller was born September 11, 1924 in Ashe County to the late Joe and Cordie Bowlin Miller.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers: Gilbert, Robert and Henry Miller. Mr. Miller joined Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in 1960 where he served as a past Sunday school teacher.  His hobby was beekeeping.     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2008 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor Sonny Thomas, Rev. Russell Sheets, Rev. Jessie Cox and Rev. Eric Miller.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 17th at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.   Mr. Miller is survived by:   His wife of 65 years:  Maxie Miller   6 sons: Reed Miller and wife Judy, Brady Miller and wife Linda and Darrell Miller and fiancé, Collen all of Millers Creek, Clinton Miller and wife Mary and Jody Miller and wife Susie all of Hayes and Presley Miller and wife Beverly of Mulberry   2 daughters:  Wanda Stuart and fiancé, Richard of Millers Creek and Kathy Call and husband Isaac of Hiddonite   3 brothers: Wade Miller of Millers Creek, Delmar and Ward Miller both of Glendale Springs   3 sisters: Faye Dixon of China Grove, Shirley Jones of Glendale Springs and Evazell Kilby of Millers Creek   16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.   Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to:   American Cancer Society c/o Lisa Bottomley 87 Montview Dr. Sparta, NC  28675   You may send and view email condolences to the family through our website at www.badgerfuneralhome.com.   Badger Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
