Sharon Lynn Miller, age 68, of Jefferson, the Glendale Springs Community, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her residence. She peacefully departed, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of warmth and kindness. She was born in Ashe County on October 1, 1955. She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Miller and mother, Muriel Mash Greer.

Sharon Lynn Miller, a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering independence, embodied the virtues of resilience and self-sufficiency. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the tender care she bestowed upon her cherished flowers, finding solace and joy amidst nature's beauty. Sharon's devotion to family was unwavering, her presence a constant source of warmth and support at family gatherings, where she shared laughter and cherished moments with her loved ones.

A beacon of compassion and kindness, Sharon extended her helping hand without hesitation, touching the lives of many with her generosity and unwavering friendship. Her steadfast commitment to others was a testament to her noble character, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to call her friend.

A member of Glendale Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Sharon's faith provided her with strength and solace.

Sharon's beloved cat companions, Jemma and Beau, held a special place in her heart, their presence bringing comfort and joy to her days. She cared for them deeply, cherishing the bond they shared as cherished members of her family.

Miss Miller is mourned and remembered fondly by her surviving sisters, Tonya Miller and Phyllis Greer and husband, Kevin, all of Glendale Springs, her brother, Michael Miller, of Jefferson, as well as her nephew, Travis Bare, and her great niece, Rusty Bare, and great nephews, Ethan Bare and Noah Bare. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also carry her memory in their hearts

Funeral services to honor the life of Sharon Lynn Miller will take place on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Glendale Springs Missionary Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Pastor Ricky Triplett. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Claude Mash Cemetery.

In honoring Sharon's memory, the family kindly requests no food please. Instead, they welcome flowers or memorial donations to a charity of the donor's choice.

Sharon Lynn Miller's presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
