Shelby (Ham) Greer

Mrs. Shelby Ham Greer, age 70 of Lansing, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Greer was born on May 8, 1948 in Ashe County to Leo and Marie Perry Ham. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Mark Weaver and all of her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Greer was a simple woman who loved her grandchildren and enjoyed reading. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Mrs. Greer is survived by:  her husband, Darrell Greer; 3 sons, Steve Greer and wife Tina of Lansing, Richard Weaver of Lansing, and Eric Weaver and wife Angel of Lansing; 2 daughters, Gena Potter of Creston and Eva Marie Faw and husband Ricky of Wilkesboro; also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Dwight Shepherd. Burial will follow in the Perry-Shepherd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
