Shelia Demetrius Ann Reeves

Shelia Demetrius Ann Reeves, age 55, of Crumpler, NC was born September 16, 1960 in Jefferson, NC to the late Thelma Francis Reeves. She was called home Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. She received God into her life at an early age and was a member at Cox's Grove Baptist Church in Crumpler. Ann was a true sports fanatic and she also loved to cook, garden, and ride her motorcycle. After high school she continued her education at Wilkes Community College to receive a degree as an operating room technician. Later in life she faithfully cared for her mother and enjoyed babysitting her "nieces and nephews". She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Francis Reeves and "special aunt" Janet Chappell.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Detrich Reeves of Crumpler; special cousins and "sisters", Michelle Merlos of Crumpler andJanet Hamilton of Crumpler; special nieces and a nephew, Brittany, Theresa, Trinity, and Keaton.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. James Perkins and Minister Fontrina Wray. Burial will follow in Cox's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
