Shirley Ann Faw Baldwin

Shirley Ann Faw Baldwin, age 80, passed away on September 21 2024, at Margate Health & Rehab. She was born on January 24, 1944, in Ashe County, NC, and spent life enriching the lives of everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Grace Howell Faw, her husband, Darrell Baldwin and brother Chuck Faw.

A devoted member of Landmark Baptist Church, Shirley exemplified a spirit of kindness and generosity. She cherished spending time with her family and adored her special dog, Inky. Shirley was a caregiver for her family, always putting the needs of others first.

Her professional journey included a significant tenure at Northwest Ashe High School cafeteria and later at Sara Lee Knit Products until its closure. Her dedication to her work was evident in every meal served and every stitch made.

Shirley is survived by her son, Greg Baldwin and his wife, Shelia, of Lansing, brother in-law, Jones Baldwin of Lansing, four sisters in-law, Rose Mary Lewis of Morristown, TN, Jessie Baldwin of West Jefferson, Donna Abad of Marion, VA and Brenda Faw of Lansing. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The visitation will be held on September 26, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel & Gardens. Rev. Jimmy Williams will be officiating.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will forever be remembered by those she touched throughout her life.
