Sue Polk Miller

Sue Polk Miller age 69 of West Jefferson passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home. She was born in Ashe County on Monday, December 5, 1955 to the late Gene and Mary Smith Polk. She is a member of Ebenezer Community Church. Sue retired from Appalachian State University after 20 years of service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Jamie Denny.

Mrs. Miller is survived by: her husband, Rev. Leon Miller, two sons, Mike Miller (Lori) of Jefferson and Casey Miller (Misty) of West Jefferson, two sisters, Janet Purdue of Traphill and Tina Davis of Lansing, one brother, Jeff Polk of West Jefferson; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
