Sun Chin Adolph, born on November 30, 1941, in Chonnam, Korea, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at High Point Medical Center. She was the cherished daughter of the late Tae Hyon and Pok Su Choe Kim. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Keith Adolph, brother, Kim Ha Yon and sister, Kim Kum Cha.
Sun was known for her love of nature and the simple joys of life. She adored her beloved dog, Casper, who was her constant companion. Sun had a passion for cooking, creating meals that brought comfort and warmth to those around her. She also found peace in taking long walks in the woods, where she enjoyed the quiet beauty of nature and the thrill of collecting and foraging ginseng and other natural treasures.
Sun’s life was marked by her gentle spirit, her love for her family, and her deep connection to the world around her. She will be remembered for her kindness and the joy she brought to those who knew her.
Mrs. Adolph is survived by two sons, Stacy Adolph and wife, Kim of Greensboro, Kevin Keith Adolph of Elkin, six grandchildren, Josuha Andrew Adolph, Blake Alexander Adolph, Maegan Nicole Adolph, Zachary Richard Adolph, Ryan Keith Adolph and Logan Daniel Adolph, three brothers, Kim Ku Yon, Kim Chong Yon and Kim Cheng Yon, three sisters, Kim Sun Huie, Kim Un Cha and Kim Un Sun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 1:00pm by Father Jacob Mlakar. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
Flowers will be accepted. The family respectfully requests no food please.
Sun leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
