Talmage Watson

Talmage Watson age 75 of Warrensville died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Watson was born August 11, 1943 in Watauga County to the late Cornelius and Roxie Carroll Watson.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Burlie, Floyd and Thomas Watson, sisters, Dolly Stidmans, Vera Lea Golds, Holly Lea Eller, Shirley Phillips and Ella Stilman, grandson, Avan Watson and great granddaughter, Zoe Pennington. Mr. Watson was a member of Clifton Baptist Church and drove the church van.  He loved camping, being outdoors and taking cruises with his family.

Mr. Watson is survived by: his wife, Arwanna Graybeal Watson, two daughters, Cathy Pennington of Walkertown and Shelia Baldwin and husband Greg of Lansing, one son Chris Watson and wife Sheila of Warrensville, two brothers, Teddy Watson of Fleetwood and C. R. Watson of Lenoir, two sisters, Sue Earp of Lenoir and Martha Gant of Hickory, four grandchildren, Shane Pennington, Shawna Pennington, Austin Watson and Aaron Watson, three great-grandchildren, Maddison Pennington, Sydney Pennington and Adon Joyce and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Jimmy Galgano. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday prior to the service at Ashelawn.
