Trey Alan Williams

Trey Alan Williams, a beloved brother and friend, passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on July 19, 1977, in Ashe County, North Carolina, Trey was the son of the late Wesley "Wes" Johnson Williams and Terri Ray Williams. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Trey was more than just a presence in the lives of those around him—he was known for his infectious joy and his ability to bring people together, Trey could be described as a living legend of laughter. He had an innate gift for making others smile and could light up any room with his humor and warmth.

In his friend group, Trey was the glue that held everyone together. He was the one friends turned to in times of need, knowing that he would do anything for anyone. Trey's good-hearted nature and willingness to help others made him a cherished friend.

Trey was a reflection of his late father, Wes, inheriting his determination and versatility. Like his father, Trey could do anything he set his mind to.

Trey's passing is a profound loss, but the memories of his laughter, kindness, and boundless energy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He is survived by his sister, Tara Williams of Delaware, one niece, Isabella “Izzy” Brooklynn Bonvetti and her father, Joseph Bonvetti. Several uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends who considered him family also survive.

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 5:30pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, where stories of his kindness and laughter will be shared, and his memory will be honored by all who loved him.

A Celebration of Life Service and scattering ceremony will also be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Saloon Studios from 6:00-10:00pm.
