Vernie Miller

Vernie B. Miller, age 100 of Glendale Springs died Thursday, February 05, 2004 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Ashe County, Mrs. Miller was born on February 20, 1903 to the late Dave and Rebecca Wingler. She married Gord Miller on January 8, 1921, and together had a family of eleven children.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at the Glendale Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Russell Sheets, Rev. Keith Elledge and Rev. Ted Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

35 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
