Veronica Ann "Vickie" Walker

Veronica Ann Walker, lovingly known as Vickie, age 70 of West Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at PruittHealth Home in Elkin.

Vickie was born on January 18, 1955, in Anawalt, West Virginia, to the late Laverne Robert Walker and Ruby Jean Blevins Walker. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Lee Walker, and her sister, Elizabeth Cahill-Musick.

She is survived by her uncle and aunt, Frank and Shirley Walker of Jefferson. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Herb Parunak. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Hill Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service.

Vickie brought a gentle and enduring spirit to those who knew her. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her unique presence, and the love she held for her family.
