Vetra Rebecca Beshears Houck age 93 of Todd, NC died Sunday, December 7, 2003 at the Courtland Terrace Nursing Home in Gastonia, NC
Mrs. Houck was born in Wilkes County, NC on November 19, 1910 to D.F. and Della Phillips Beshears. She was preceded in death by her husband James Raynor Houck. Mrs. Houck was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church. She taught school for several years, served as a member of the Ashe County Woman's Club, and was a very accomplished flower gardener. She was a graduate of High Point High School. She also worked at NC State University and the Women's College.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion United Methodist Church. Rev. Pricilla Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on December 9, 2003 following the funeral service at the Zion United Methodist Church.

Brothers: Frank Beshears of Stoney Fork, NC
Charles Beshears North Wilkesboro, NC

Sister: Mrs. D.T. Payne of North Wilkesboro, NC
