Virginia Scott

Virginia Opal Scott age 73 of Hampton, VA formerly of Ashe County, NC died Sunday, March 16, 2003 at the Sentara Careplex Hospital. Ms. Scott was born on January 22, 1230 in Ashe County, NC to Grady and Fern Davis Scott. Ms. Scott was preceded in death by two brothers Dennis and Joe Scott, and one nephew Chris Scott. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and associate member of the First United Methodist Church of Hampton, VA. She moved to Hampton, VA in 1949 after graduating highschool. She worked for the Commissioner of Revenue in the city of Hampton, VA. Ms. Scott was a very generous and loving woman who treasured her family.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Zion United Methodist Church. Rev. Pricilla Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2003 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the Zion United Methodist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o James Taylor, 580 Grant Houck Rd., Todd, NC 28684.
