Virginia Weaver

Virginia Lewis Weaver age 88 of West Jefferson, NC, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Hattie Elliott Lewis. She is survived by one daughter; Rosa Lee Ashley and son-in-law David H. Ashley of West Jefferson, NC, one sister; Verna Taylor of Charlotte, NC, one daughter-in-law; Jewel Weaver of West Jefferson, NC, special friend; Irene Turner of West Jefferson, NC. Also surviving are four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Hiram Weaver, son; Robert G. Weaver and sister; June Phipps.
There will be a family visitation at her home Thursday, April 13, 2006 from 3:00-7:00 P.M. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 14, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Johnny Goodman and Rev. Lloyd Day will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2006 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Badger Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Weaver Family Cemetery. The family request no food or flowers and that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
