Walter Bare

Walter Warren Bare, age 72 of Winston Salem, NC formerly of Glendale Springs, NC, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at the Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bare was born on April 30, 1930 in Ashe County, NC to Don C. and Ada Severt Bare. He was a veteran of the US Navy where he served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bare graduated from NC State University in 1958 with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He graduated from Lehigh University with a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a Senior Engineer at Lucent Technologies in Winston-Salem retiring in 1989. He was member of the Winston Salem Moose Lodge #466.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 2, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Ballou will officiate. A military graveside will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Badger Funeral Home.

Wife: Alice Miller Bare

Daughter: Marsha Elaine Haislip and husband Thomas of Charlotte, NC

Grandchildren: John Haislip, Michael Haislip & Melissa Prindle

Great-Grandchildren: Tommy Prindle, Alex Haislip & Megan Haislip

Several nieces & nephews also survive.
