Wanda Sue Blevins

Wanda Sue Blevins, age 72 of Lansing, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Blevins was born September 13, 1945 in Ashe County, NC to Paul Clifford and Beulah Cordelia Church Blevins. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, James Ivan Blevins.

Mrs. Blevins retired from United Chemi-Con. She loved to read and tell jokes and enjoyed listening to gospel music. She had a loving, kind and happy nature and always had a positive attitude.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by:  her husband, Marvin M. Blevins; one daughter, Pamela D. Blevins of the home; two brothers, Joe Riley Blevins and Jack Blevins and wife Iris, both of Crumpler; two sisters, Dorothy Lyalls and Marcella Doby, both of Lansing. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Joey McClure, Rev. Joe Riley Blevins, and speaker Ward Sexton. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018 prior to the funeral service at Ashelawn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pamela Blevins Special Needs Trust, c/o First Citizens Bank, 302 E. 2nd Street, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
