Wanda Fay (Viers) Church

Wanda Fay Viers Church better known as Fay age 89 of Laurel Springs passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Church was born on November 30, 1933 to the late Edgar and Virgie McGrady Viers. Including her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband, William Arnold Church, four brothers, Rex, Eugene, Junior and Ray, three sisters, Ruth, Grace and Nadine.

Mrs. Church really enjoyed attending various churches in the area where she formed lasting friendships. Fay was the heart of her family, and her love for them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was boundless. She reveled in their laughter and cherished the precious moments spent together. One of Fay's greatest joys in life was cooking, she shared her love through the delicious meals she prepared. Her kitchen was a source of warmth, nourishment, and love. She also loved to socialize, and her enthusiasm for life was evident in her love for playing bingo in town.

Fay's passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and community, a testament to a life well-lived. Her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends, and her love will continue to guide and protect them in her absence.

Mrs. Church is survived by: two sons, William Charles Church and Ricky Church both of Laurel Springs, one brother, J.E. Viers of Laurel Springs, one grandson, Donald Church, two great-grandsons, Damion Church and Benjamin Church; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Bare Cemetery by Minister Tim Hamm. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
