. Mr. Warren Gentry "Buster" Black age 91, of West Jefferson, died on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Black was born on September 21, 1919 in Ashe County, NC to the late Andrew "Andy" and Gertrude Gentry Black. Including his parents Mr. Black was preceded in death by two brothers, Roscoe and Gabe and one sister Flossie. Mr. Black served in World War II in the Air Force. He loved camping, fishing, telling tall tales and jokes. He was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tony McNeil, Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Billy Joe Blevins. Burial will follow in Beaver Creek Christian Church Cemetery with Military Rites.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Badger Funeral Home.   Mr. Black is survived by: Wife, Geneva Dollar Black, one daughter, Linda Crouse and husband Harold of West Jefferson, two grandchildren, Ryan Ashley and wife Maribeth of Jacksonville, FL and Renee' Ashley of West Jefferson , two step grandchildren, Ashley Crouse of Alexandria, VA, Nicholas Crouse and fiancée Whitney Rathburn of Hendersonville, NC one great grandchild, William Ashley, one step great-grandchild, Kaiden Crouse, three sisters in-law, Shirley and husband Jay Eller of Statesville, NC, Phyllis and husband Johnny McNeil of Lansing and Josephine and husband Joe Hoosier of Jefferson, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to High Country Health Care Hospice P.O. Box 421 Jefferson, NC 28640 or Gideon's International, P.O.
