Warren Goodman

Warren George Goodman Sr., age 80, of the Mulatto Mountain Community in Fleetwood, NC passed away at his residence on May 15, 2003. Mr. Goodman was born in Ashe County, NC, May 13, 1923 to the late Frank Goodman and Polly Phillips Goodman. Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his first wife Eva G.Goodman and two sons, W.G. Goodman Jr. and Harold Joe Goodman. He was a farmer and a Army veteran of WWII.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife Ennis Rose Goodman; four sons, Andy Goodman of Fleetwood, NC; Rex Goodman of Ferguson, NC; Jimmy Goodman of Glendale Springs, NC; Rev. Johnny Goodman of Jefferson, NC; two daughters, Geneva Wilcox of Zephyr Hills FL; Mary Jordan of West Jefferson, NC; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 18, 11:00 AM at South Beaver Baptist Church in West Jefferson, NC with Rev. J.D. Walton, Rev. Bill Miller, and Rev. Tom Graybeal officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodman-Hardin Cemetery in West Jefferson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
