William Kenneth "Bill" Gobble age 77 of Crumpler, NC died Friday, June 4, 2004 at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Gobble was born on March 23, 1927 in Rowan County, NC to Willie Oscar and Mary Mahaley Gobble. He served in the United States Navy during WWII, serving six years. He served 24 years in the US Air force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the US Navy as a Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Gobble was a member of the American Legion, Lansing, NC Post. He and his wife owned and operated the Historic Healing Springs, and had owned many Real Estate Instruction businesses.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 7, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. J.C. Norton, A.B. Hurt, Jr., and James Gobul will officiate. Military committal service will follow at the Ashelawn Mausoleum of Prayer. The family will receive friends Monday, June 7, 2004 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Daughter: Mary Stuckey of Louisiana
Half Brothers: James Gobble of VA and Norman Gobble of TN
Half Sisters: Sally Chillcott of Salisbury, NC and Betty Lou Rice of Salisbury, NC
Step Brother: Norman Bradshaw of Florida
6 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
