William Junior McGuire

William Junior McGuire, age 62 of West Jefferson, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at Watauga Medical Center.  Mr. McGuire was born June 4, 1960 in Ashe County to the late Willet and Lorene Hicks McGuire.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by step-daughter, Alisha Barker and sister, Billie Mains.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He also enjoyed music and fishing.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 1:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. William Greer.  Burial will follow in the Big Flatts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm one hour prior to the service.

Mr. McGuire is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Spears (Chris Johnson) of North Wilkesboro and Ariel Barker of Knightdale, son, Daniel McGuire (Mirriah) of West Jefferson, brothers, Greg McGuire of Fleetwood and Wayne McGuire of Statesville, sisters, Ruby Billings and Sherry Trejo both of West Jefferson, step-daughter, Crystal Hoosier, grandchildren, Faith Spears, Willie McGuire (Faith), Eli McGuire, Gracie McGuire, Hope Spears and Saraya Taylor, the mother of his children, Deborah Calhoun and several nieces and nephews also survive.
