William and Jacqueline Kueber Du Sold

Jacqueline (Jackie) Kueber Du Sold passed away May 18, 2019 at Mason Christian Village nursing home in Mason, Ohio at the age of 88.  She is survived by her children Valeria (Val) Du Sold (John) Prevish, Paul Du Sold (Sharon Doerner), Michelle Du Sold (Fred Ortega), and Renee Du Sold.  She is also survived by her sister Janis Kueber Chase, and nine grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William (Bill) Du Sold, who passed way Aug. 28, 2013.   Jackie and Bill were physicians who came to Jefferson in 1977 from Los Angeles, California to practice and to build a home in the small town setting of Ashe County.  They practiced medicine – general and vascular surgery and family practice – for more than 12 years at Ashe Memorial Hospital before retiring.  Ashe County became their adopted home and a beloved community that they both felt very fortunate to be a part of.   The 36 years they spent living here were some of the happiest of their lives and they treasured the friends they made.  Please join in a celebration of their lives on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at Badger Funeral Home in West Jefferson.  A reception will follow at West Jefferson United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ashe Memorial Hospital.
