William “Billy Bob” Robert Johnson

William Robert Johnson, better known as Billy Bob, age 97 of Warrensville, died Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Edward J. Miller Rehab Center.  Mr. Johnson was born January 18, 1923 in Ashe County to the late Ance and Bessie Warren Johnson.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Jean Johnson, his second wife, Rosie Hartzog Johnson, 7 sisters, 2 brothers and his daughter, Phyllis Walls.  Billy Bob loved to ride and work with horses.  He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger or had a harsh word for anyone.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 27, 2020 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Dollar.  Burial will follow in the Warren Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, January 26th at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson is survived by, his son, Mike Johnson and wife Jackie of West Jefferson, step-sons, Roger Miller and wife Lois of Millers Creek and Ed Miller and wife Brenda of Ronda, son-in-law, Webb Walls, grandchildren, Courtney Walls and wife Lindsay of Warrensville, Kevin Colvard and wife Amy of Crumpler and Ryan Smith and wife Annie of Elon, step-grandchildren, Kim, Kristy and Jenn, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
