William Robert "Bob" Hartsoe

Mr. William Robert Hartsoe, better known as Bob, age 74 of Sparta, formerly of Creston, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his home. Mr. Hartsoe was born on Thursday, May 4, 1944 in Ashe County to Jonathan Gwyn Hartsoe and Mae Clementine Walker Hartsoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Deanna Guy as well as two sisters, Joanne Kemp and Mary Elliott.

Mr. Hartsoe, business entrepreneur, artist and musician was also a Gideon and the founder of the Riverview Lion's Club.  He was a member of Clifton Baptist Church.  One of Bob's greatest accomplishments was the founding of Miracle Mountain, providing hyperbaric therapy for children with special needs.

Mr. Hartsoe is survived by:  his wife, Judith Irene Hass Hartsoe; one son, Robert Anthony Hartsoe and wife, Lori of Kernersville; one daughter, Wendy Hart and husband, Kenny of Sparta, brother-in-law, Barry Hass and son-in-law, Neill Guy.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; Matsen, Marrissa, Walker, Emma, Garrett, Trey, Morgan, Taylor, Chandler, Jackson and Kaleigh.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Pastor Chuck Call and speaker, Tony Hartsoe. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
