Willie Gregary McGuire

Willie Gregary McGuire, age 61 of West Jefferson passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at his home.  Mr. McGuire was born on March 19, 1962 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Willet Earl and Lorean Hicks McGuire.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sister, Billy Sue Maines, brother, Junior McGuire and son, Gregary Micheal McGuire.

When he wasn’t busy with his salvage business Willie enjoyed spending his free time outdoors and fishing.  He also loved listening to music and spending time with his grandkids who he loved very much.

Mr. McGuire is survived by one daughter, Robin Beers and husband, Jesse of West Jefferson, brother, Wayne McGuire of Statesville, two sisters, Ruby Billings of West Jefferson and Sherry Trejo of Jefferson.  Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, including special granddaughters, Talin and Alana Shumate as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm at Badger Funeral Home.
