Stephen Harold Jones

Stephen Harold Jones, age 40 of Creston, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Mr. Jones was born on February 10, 1982 in Watauga County to Baxter Harold Jones and Stella Juanita Baugess Jones. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Jones liked being outdoors, deer hunting, and searching for arrowheads. He was a good woodworker and enjoyed going out on jobs with his father, Harold.

Mr. Jones is survived by:  his mother, Juanita Jones of Creston; one brother, Greg Jones and wife Melanie of Lansing; one sister, Tammy Jones Hartsoe of Glade Valley; five nephews, Cody Jones, Lucas Jones, Brandy Phipps, Daniel Phipps, and Eli Hartsoe; and one niece, Staci Byrd.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Brian Weaver, Rev. Russell Sheets, and Rev. Brandy Phipps.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at Flatwoods Cemetery in Creston.
